Polished

A mirror gloss finish that provides sharp reflections. Often used to highlight building facades and on flooring. Suitable for interior use and for the cladding of walls.

Honed

A Honed surface is a semi-polished finish where the surface has been ground down to leave a smooth flat appearance yet still no slip. This surface provides a dull sheen, without reflections, in contrast to a polished finish.  Suitable for interior use and for the cladding of walls.

This finish is best for a more classical look in entrance ways and pool surrounds.

Rock Pitched

Provides an antiqued look, which is often used on posts, walls and buildings.

Natural Split

A Natural surface, sometimes known as Riven is where the stone is split along its natural bed revealing a slight to moderate uneven surface.

This surface is ideal for those wanting a different more rustic look.

Flamed

Provides a uniform coarse finish. This effect is achieved by using high intensity flamers. The heat creates a slightly rough non-slip surface.

Antiqued

Flamed then brushed. A finish that appears to be very old. This finish has a weathered appearance.

Sawn

A  non slip finish obtained by sawing blocks into slabs or cutting stones to required sizes. The cutting marks from diamond disc or gangsaw blades remain visible on the stone¡¯s surface.

Suitable for interior and exterior installations. Often used externally for paving.

Bush-Hammered

This finish is achieved by the use of diamond tools or by hand tools for special decorative elements. Suitable for interior and exterior installations.

Chiselled

Uses interrupted, parallel markings to provide a corrugated finish.

A non-slip finish for external use.

Sandblasted

Plain surface produced by blasting with abrasive. Coarseness varies with type of preparatory finish and grain structure of the granite.

Water Jet

a non-slip matt finish, produced by working the surface of the stone with high-pressure water jets.
